About Me

Michele is the creative mind behind jazzyfinch Design. She has been designing for the web for nearly 10 years and has extensive experience in brand promotion, corporate identity, and best practices of successful web design. Above all, she really despises talking about herself in the third person, so enough of that! =)

I started my design career working for the Catholic University of America in the Center for Planning and Information Technology (CPIT) in 2000. While there, I dabbled in web design, started to teach myself Photoshop and Illustrator and even got a sampling of coding with Cold Fusion.

I now work full time at the University of Maryland University College (UMUC). Here, I have immersed myself in designing for the web and intranet, and occaisionally I dabble in MyUMUC, our PeopleSoft-based portal system. Among all the sandboxes I am allowed to play in, my first love remains “making things pretty”… be it websites, logos, greeting cards, or desktop wallpapers.

Does your online presence need a facelift? I’d love to help!
